Just wanted to know. Has anyone found anything useful at the junkyards? is it worth going there?

I have a friend that runs one and he said usually not. All the aftermarket parts are usually stripped from the vehicles before they allow the public to take parts from them.

I once found a turbo from a Eclipse....bought it for 40$, but had no use for it at the time...sold it for 100$

I don't quite know? Although I'll be going to some junkyards once I have enough money for my custom turbo. I'll be looking for intercooler cores and turbo's.

It depends on the junkyard. We have a honda only yard just north of charlotte that has over 4000 hondas on its lot. Someone recently broke into my wife's accord and busted out the rear passenger side window. Got it for $46 and I installed it. They have si wheels, factory cd players, all the stuff off typical rice hondas, you name it, they got it. I guess it just depends on what you mean by "treasures" exactly.
