i thought they only Total it out if the cost of fixing the car is close to book value? or if its beond repair? if its worth 27,000 and he says its only 10,000 worth of damage? and from what i was told getting the airbags redone cost like 2,000 +

I wouldn't do it. A car never drives right after it was plowed that hard. The car has some serious frame damage there. You do not want to get involved with that car....And it will cost a heck of alot more than $10,000 to fix that....especially since its an S2000 and parts are so expensive.

Something isn't right if he says the insurance company totaled it, but it only had 10 g's in damage.

A car is considered totaled when the damage exceeds about 70% of the car's value (some companies are around 65%-75%, and this varies company to company). 10 g's is not anywhere near 70% of the car's value.

He's full of sh*t and not telling the whole truth.

I would check the VIN number out at CarFax.com before I even though about it....YOu can then see the whole truth about the car. Since his story is a lil umm fishy.

That car's pretty worthless. Once a car's banged up like that, it'll never return to normal, no matter how much you tinker with it.

I guess you could strip the interior and engine/tranny, but what would u do with it?? Can't do much.
