just curious, if you have "all the money in the bank" why are you still paying for the civic. why did you finance it and pay a couple extra thousand dollars in interest when you claim to have had the money to just pay for it?[hr]

Driving new cars and constantly trading up is a huge waste of money. I have had 5 cars since I was 16, 4 of which were paid for with a check by my parents. I pay for the vic and plan to keep it for at least 5 years. I could easily drive a new bimmer if I wanted but I don't need the big car to impress anyone. I impress myself with all the money I have in the bank and never having to worry about my financial situation, period. Nevertheless, to each his own.[hr]

I hope that makes sense to ya.
it makes sense to me, but accidents is what insurance was invented for, i would hope with all the money, you would have a nice insurance plan, and wouldnt have to worry about this "emergency money" as for credit, the best way to get a good credit rating is to have like 2 credit cards you religously pay every month and like a cell phone in your name will give you perfect credit and will allow you to get a mortgage, you dont need a car loan to play the credit game. as for having all the money, you obviously didnt earn it, bc if you did, it could be easily replaced, and your paychecks would put that extra money in every month youre paying for the car, so if you covered your finances correctly, the extra $370 wouldnt even have to be dished out. to me, something is a little fishy and doesnt add up, if i "had the money" i wouldnt choose a civic, just for the sake of good credit

dang, some of you guys really like to change, i myself have never bought a car, my dad bought me the vic, but if you count the vic, my dad has only bought 6 cars in the past 27 years!!! he has had the best luck with american cars. he had a 1972 chevy nova 4 door, never gave him engine or transmission problems until it hit over 200,000 km ( we used to live in canada ), then he bought a 1986 olds cutlass, same as the nova, pretty darn reliable. then came the 1992 mazda 929 and 1993 dodge caravan. the 929 was good in the starting, but the POS messed up at 90,000miles. the caravan has 115k miles and we still have it. bought a 2k1 maxima gxe, and its still here ( god i love that car ). and bought the 2k2 civic, traded the POS 929 for the civic, got a meesly $1000 for it.
i guess i rambled on a whole bunch, i'll stop now.
