Ok i have seen this show on the Speed channel about 4 or 5 times so far. I think this show could use its premise and basic concept to make a GOOD program about import tuners, but instead, its filled with a TON of ghei product advertising (Read: Pep Boys and APC). They seem to think that craptezzas and neon lights are cool (or even still popular in the main stream). Every once in a while they will feature a nice car, but usually every car looks like it got puked on by the vinyl monster. The people that host the show are REALLY ignorant too. They are either camera shy or they just dont know what the hell they are talking about. Well to end my ranting and raving, has anyone else seen this ghei-*** show?

Well yeah that show does suck... "Now its time for Ford's IN FOCUS" or wutever.... who cares!!!! LOL, I guess ya'll just watched it... Hey did ya'll see the little asian guy advertising for Quaker State with the glasses on? haha wut a dork right... Yeah he's my cousin~~Victor Shen... I actually saw him on Friday cuz he came down to Dallas to visit us. That ****** cant even give me anything free. His company is looking to sponsor a car... I was like HEY!!! sponsor me!!! He's like psh... They talked to Kenny Tran at Jotech and are leaning towards him and his 550hp Twin Turbo Supra.. I still say they should sponsor me dammit...

That Asian guy who reps for Quaker State is such a geek-***. Man, it's like he's memorized the company press release or something.

It's interesting to see all the modded cars on the show, but ya, it's getting a bit tiring seeing all these company reps pushing their own products, and having the show trying to pass this off as "real interviews".

And that guy host keeps repeating the same crap over and over for each car, regardless of what was done to it. If they do nothing else, they gotta at least replace that guy.

Well actually, its not like he writes the script... He didn't really wanna do it but Pennzoil(bought out by Quaker State) sorta made him cuz he's been working for them for like 11 years... And yeah, why do they have 12 of the same outfits?haha

Hey the show is geared towards average americans. I just hope its not a TNN show. I am new to this cable thing. I have only been exposed to satelite. And that is organized, cable channels change more than I care and stuff like that. That show was geared to people who do not know about the import craze and how it is just like Hot Rodding. Now compare it to Japanese videos. People think if they can copy a group or someone they can be the person or group. They do not comprend the dedication and love we put into our cars. Most people on this site do the same. Just b/c they have more posts, it does not prove how much they know. There actions show how ignorant they are. Quote me.

its wierd as hell! the whole car is like a chalk board imagine how annoying it will sound when someone attempts to key up the car!!!

but yeah I think the fordfocus thing is ghei its like there "project car" looks pretty shitty if you ask me!!!

And BTW I hate all those APC ads they keep showing and they keep showing that ad with that hector guy from F&F talking about his APC carbon fiber hood and his APC tail lights and his APC bodykit on his RSX its annoying!!!!

I watched the first 2 episodes of the show, and I haven't watched it since. It was just the same tired stuff over and over again. Katrina and the Asian girl are nice to look at, but I just wasn't really learning anything from the show and all of the rides they showed were getting boring. It's like being at a car show and seeing the same 100+ Civics with non-functional dual exhausts, big ol' body kits, etc. Yawn....

I missed last night, I don't watch it much since the last time they had my car there ( it figures )
But at that same show there were some really awesome cars with real performance mods I they paid no attention.
I think the show is geared towards stuff like the APC's and Ractive market.

That show and others like it were going to be canceled from the Speed network back when Fox bought the Speed channel, apparently Fox only wanted to have stuff related to NASCAR and Drag racing.
I hope that Hi- rev tunners get better with time cause is the only show of this kind on TV.
Hey, is better than nothing, hopefully some one notices the need for an Import first class, well informed show like Hot Rod TV and the Two guys garage, hosted by experts even if they aren't cute blondes with only two sets of clothing
But deffinately this show has a lot of room for improvement.
Not happy that they show the first take of our interview when they told me that it was just a test and basicaly I sounded like a dome a$$.

I think the show is a step in the right direction. They do need to list other mods of the car. Other than "this Civic has a real nice carbon fiber hood wthi big 18 inch wheels." Its pretty repetitive! I do watch the show faithfully and there are a couple of ideas if you can find them. There are way too many advertisements disguised as interviews and show segments. Hopefully it will get better.

I really cant stand that show. I wish they would come out with an Import show for real import people, not the ones for kids to look at flashy cars that dont know jack. Sure the blonde is cute but thats it. The guy is a complete **** too, doesnt even talk in full sentences.

Guys..although I "COMPLETELY" agree with you....you need to "step out of the box".....cell phone commercial..LOL...I too watch it every week as nothing else represents us......some weeks are better than others....but lets have a starting point here....and realize that that average SCC lover watching is not on our level or as well as many others on this site........if you watch anything that you put your whole heart in on TV of interest...really never accuratley represents that obsession..you know?????.....although they get close and are accurate on things....I'll still watch it.....BTW,....They probably tape 4-5 episodes at one car show......last night's show was the 3rd one from SEMA I've seen....and they're so many cars that they can get many shows out of one.....i.e...keeps overhead expenses down..travel etc........so give them room to grow and receive feedback..if the show lasts to next season...peace!
