Is that the original and correct engine for that year and model of car?

Is the computer correct for the engine you have?

Did someone replace the engine but not replace the computer with one specifically for the new engine?

It's all OEM

The car are the same as brand new, same engine, same ECU nothing has been changed.

Re: EJ1 D16Z6 RPM guage problem

at idle the guage shows 700-800rpm, at 60mph show 2000rpm
Have these readings changed since the car was new?

If the tachometer has become inaccurate, readings may appear lower than actual?

Exactly the readings may appear lower than actual.
I bought the car from a friend of mine and he told me that some time ago the rpm began to show a lower value than the actual.

If you want to confirm the tachometer on the dash is not accurate, obtain a different "known good" tachometer (digital, aftermarket gauge, or voltmeter-multimeter with tach function), connect it to the RPM test connector then compare?

They engine are running 7200rpm but the tacho shows only 6000. whey i'm driving the rpm increase normal at idle to 2000 rpm after this increases slowly

Re: EJ1 D16Z6 RPM guage problem

The tach gauge in the dash is probably bad, but using another as a test would confirm the inaccuracy.

Small improvement? Clean it some more?

Save money to
-buy a new gauge
-buy a good used gauge from a auto recycle yard

or ignore the bad gauge, it is not hurting performance nor hurting the rest of the car
