I need help (srs light stuck on)
Well my dumb a ss backed up into my boat trailer and got pissed and slammed the doors an my car. My back bumper isnt that bad, there is a crease about 3 inches long & the paint is cracked a little bit. but now my srs light is stuck on, ive tried taking the battery cables off but that didnt work, how do i get that light to go off??? (I have the side air bags in my car) .
I dont know much about the srs light but my friend has an lx and had that problem after a stereo install. To reset it, there was some button under the dash and it resets the light. But that didnt work, so when he took it back to the stereo shop under the seat they had forgotten to hook up the (srs) wire to the chair and sure enough that was the problem. My advice is take it to the dealer, chances are its something small within the SRS that needs to be taken care of.

Well your SRS light is your airbag and safety light. Mine went off when i took out my seats to put my racing seats in. Honda can reset it. But in some cases its a HUGE pain in the ***. So take it to honda, and tell them to reset it. There is a DIY but its very very tricky.
Better take it to the dealer. My SRS light came on at about 100 miles the second day I had the car and I took it back to the dealer. And they found that the entire airbag system was defective and had to replace all of it. $575.00, glad it was covered under warranty. You never know, so you should get it checked out!
When you car got hit something happen to your SRS sensors, is normal is doing what is supposed to do.
There is DYI on it and it works like a charm just paid attention to the instructions.
If you go to the dealer is going to put it in your car report, and charge you about $60.00 to reset.
But if your car is hit I'll check it out anyway, you may get the Airbag activatied when driving, is messy and $$$ to replace.
