Newbie needs help!!!

I've been driving honda for about 3 months now. Bought a 02 civic Si Veloz coupe (Canadian model). Seems like everybody want's to race me now!! Anyways, some of my friends want to race me on the 1/4 mile... Just want to know if you have any tips on how to get a good launch?!?!

get another car or practice before you put the Civic to shame, it can be a fsat car just need to learn to drive it. I would run it up to about 4000 and launch at that.

for some reason though its pretty bouncy and i dont like that...
