4th best selling car in US

Looked up the stats on the top selling cars in the US as of May 2002 as reported by autosite.

1-Toyota Camry - 189,118
2-Honda Accord - 148,486
3-Ford Taurus - 133,892
4-Honda Civic - 126,380
5-Chevy Cavalier- 114,898
6-Toyota Corolla - 96,501

Was curious because I had read where someone said the Corolla outsold Civic in US sales.

Corolla is world's best selling car... I think it recently surpassed the VW Beetle in its 20+ years in existence. Corollas are very widespread in other parts of the world.

I saw a lot more 7th Gen Civics than ever today... and they weren't SEDANS, THEY WERE COUPES! I usually see hella sedans...

Yesterday I met a yellow (yes, a yellow) 7th gen coupe in the Bay Area. He's supposed to be at a car show probably tomorrow.

And coming home today I could've sworn I saw an ORANGE 7th gen Civic on the freeway on the opposite side! I would know for sure if it was providing that the wall that splits the freeway didn't rise up so I couldn't see them in my rear view! SOB! Oh well...

That doesn't surprise me. I didn't think the corolla outsold the civic in the U.S. as some would have you believe. Also, notice that toyota and honda each have 2 of the top selling cars here. Honda has 2 of the top 5!
Toyota only has 1.
