Some pics from today's autocross...

Had a great time running Solo II today. Saw another 7thgen Civic Coupe there today as well and told him about the site. My best time was 82 seconds or so. Best in my STS class was 75 (BMW w/ novice coordinator) I was about average. The other 7thgen ran 86. Here is a link to the pictures in my PHOTO CENTER. Did you know that YOU can upload a pic of your car there? Try it. Now it's time for 2 weeks off from racing and a new clutch. Can't wait to hit the drag strip again on June 12th. Anybody gonna make a road trip up here and race with me?

Slalom

Heavy braking

Autocross, now that looks fun. Much better than driving in a straight line for 16 seconds. I'm gonna try to find some autocross events here in socal.

To answer your question, no it's not bad for the car. My neon has done it for 2 years and i still get about the same oil pressure and compression as when i bought the car. Surely if my POS neon can handle it a supercar like the civic can do it with no sweat!

I do shift at WOT some, but mostly I do let off the gas while shifting on the strip. I don't get as good ETs shifting at WOT for some reason. Bad for the car? Uh...didn't I buy this thing to use it? Have some fun and live life, that is what God gave it to you for.
