Not that a stupid race like this would ever happen, but let me know what you think. I'm not an expert on automotive issues, but when compared to my friend, I may as well be. Anyhow, I have an 01 LX, with your standard bolt on mods, I/H/E and pulleys, 5spd. My friend has a new, fully loaded Dodge Durango. She thinks that her Durango is really fast and would blow my car away. Now, I know my car is not that fast, but look at the specs on the Durango. Horsepower = 245, torque = 335, but base weight on the one she has is 4726 lbs. That's almost twice as much as my car. Plus, her Durango is automatic. So, should I really argue this one, or would I not be able to keep up? I'd appreciate some feedback on this.

hahah i raced a durango at a stop light with my completly stock 02 lx and he beat me the first light because i didnt know we were going, but the second light i beat him by almost a length

my good friends have a 2001 4 door f-150 and the other one has a explorer sport and i beat them both in racing but when we have a sound off his f-150 is king

If you have equally good drivers in each car the durango should smoke you. The HP and TQ should make up for its weight.
