No crank / electronics dead
No crank / electronics dead
To start this is not due to a weak battery.
While driving all of my electronics (light / dash) have been temporarily dying for a minute and turning back on, this has been going on for a while.... this happened again on the highway recently so I pulled over and turned the engine off, vehicle would not start again...
So I get a buddy and we jump the vehicle, when turning the key in the on position the dash lights up bit upon attempting to crank the vehicle won't crank and the dash and everything dies... I realize this sounds very indictive of having a bad battery or loose terminals but I have checked connections and have a full and good battery...
It may be important to note while turning key over the relays behind the glove box noticeably flicker.. I have changed relays and fuses and nothing has changed.
This problem is very inconsistent, I attempted to work on it again yesterday. Battery was juiced up and absolutely nothing. No power, no lights nothing, then out of the blue the dash will light up and upon turning key over it all goes black again
Is it possible that this could be a starter problem or maybe a short somewhere in the wiring?
To clarify:
- battery healthy
- battery terminals /connections tight and secure
- fuses are good

Re: No crank / electronics dead
What about where the wire goes into the battery clamp? I had a weird no start, buzzing relay issue from that being all corroded. Couldn't see it until you pulled it apart
Re: No crank / electronics dead
In the early stages of this problem I simply adjusted the battery connections to the terminal which would temporarily fix the problem. Will report back
