Nitrous vs. Stang
I was wondering if anyone trully raced a mustang not the gtr and managed to beat it with the use of nitrous? Just wanted to know some stories.

Rep Power: 349 yea the v6's are no problem to beat with out nitrous. the 96-200 gt u can probably take with a 50 shot and the 2001and up gt's are faster and i dont know the times on them

Rep Power: 0 i am a stang killer in my rsx-s i have never lossed to a stang in that plus i have a 50 shot in that but never used it i think if i raced that cobra i would have 2 hold it down

Rep Power: 0 the gear ratios in the 2001 and up gts are different from the previous models from what I have heard, correct me if I am wrong, though I have a Cobra R in gran turismo 3 and it decimates all, i have it at 512 hp right now [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

Rep Power: 0 i raced a gt mustang with just exhaust and intake. i beat it all the way through the middle of my 3rd gear, then his power kicked in and he took me on the high end. i was winning by like 1/2 a car length until his power kicked in, but i still lost. o well, i gave it a good ride. he gave me props too. maybe he just couldnt drive well, but we raced 3 more times with the same result. -inspectaDeck

Rep Power: 0 I raced a stang the other day and kept up with him til third gear..then I got my [IMG]i/expressions/moon.gif[/IMG] handed to me. But he looked at me in his side mirror and I started laughing....

Rep Power: 0 I also wondered if anyone has raced older stang's (88 or so)........5.0 or 5.7 litre.. Hopefully I will be able too race him sometime soon!! I'm pretty sure the results will be the same. Bet him in first and second gears and then bye bye in third????

Rep Power: 349 my friend has a 89 5.0 one time we raced just for fun bc i know i was going to get raped. well from the moment we started he just keeped pulling and pulling and pulling. he has exhaust and headers. however he sold that and got a 92 supra tubro.

Rep Power: 0 Not flaming or anything here but A stock 99 or above mustang will kill any modded civic. I own a Civic LX and a 2001 Mustang gt and my Mustang IS way faster than the civic. A mustng can easily do 13's in the quarter stock, a civic does in like the 16's. Thats 3 seconds that is alot of distance in drag racing. Sorry but A Civic is no contest for a Mustang GT. AN older one on the other hand like a 96 to 98 an ex might have a chance with a 50 shot of Nitrous (Ricer Translation: NAAAWWWWSSSS). They run at about 215 HP at the flywheel. Loose about 10% to rear and that puts them about 190hp give or take. A stock ex will give a v6 any year, a run for the money though. I must say though that I am so impressed with the Wifes civic that I have decided to trade my 2001 GT in on a 2002 ex asap. I have been converted

Rep Power: 0 i dont know about a 2001 or 2002 EX beating a 99+ V6 stang without Nitrous...one of my friends raced two 7thgen civics one a 2001 EX auto...he killed him....and the other a 2002 EX manuel with intake, headers, and exhaust, and he killed him too by at least 3.5 cars...oh yeah and his 2001 V6 stang was automatic with just intake and exhuast.
