Car just dies
2005 hybrid accord. Wife was stopped in traffic. When she went from brake to the gas pedal. Car just wouldnt move (didnt stall) but no rpms, engine running. She got pushed to side of road, called AAA. While waiting she started car, it drove 500 feet and it stopped again. Towed car to local shop, 1 hour later shop said cat is running fine, cannot find any problem. Car ran fine for two weeks then same problem repeated itself. Only while driving not stopped.

Could be
-a half bad catalytic converter. Broken parts of the cat. Can slide back while accelerating and stop exhaust flow causing ignition failure.
-bad fuel causing filter/pump/injectors to clog
-failing fuel pump, giving poor pressure especially while hot.
other then that all other intermittent stalling issues I can think of should signal a CEL.
