i Fvck up my console
ok, today i took the center console (the one with the stereo) and painted metallic, after its all done i tried to put it back and it wont go back..and oh yea, the first time i tried to take it out with a screwdriver with the cloth..it left lots of mark.. and now my emergency lights wont work..now my question is..
1) is there a way to fix the mark that i made trying to pull that console off?
2) how do i put back the console all they way in?
cuz one of the side..it keep on poping back out!
thanks for reading this!

well its not really meant to just slide right back in.. but when i take mine out and put it back in.. i just line it up.. and bang on each of the corners.. taht usually gets the job done...
make sure u plug all the connectors back in.. becuase if your emergency lights dont work.. your turn signals wont either..

i think the best way to go it... sand the area where you messed up... that'll make it looking smooth again... get like 200+ grit sand paper and go over it... as for your emergency flasher... be sure you pushed the harness all the way in till you hear a click....
take a hair dryer to the screwdriver marks, the heat will cause the vinyl to relax and return to normal. I'm not 100% on that but I work at the plant that makes the vinyl that gets made into our dashes, so thats an edgucated guss

I think maybe you dropped the clip from that corner. I dropped mine and it wouldn't go in cuz there is nothing holding it. I later found it on my floor, put it back on the plastic tab and pop! it went in. As far as the vinyl being damaged, try the blowdryer thing. My friend had the same thing and I noticed that it kinda went away with time. Good Luck!
