I love my car but....

Whats up
I wanted to know how fast can we get our car to run the 1/4 mile without using nos? I love my car and all but I heard that there isnt much stuff we can do to our car like the old civics. We can even get a engine swap and our turbo kits we can only run 6 to 7 psi. Now i dont know much about cars I just know how to drive it and my car moves. But what can we do to our cars what will boosted it alot. All we can do is bolt ons? Is it possible to get are cars to run low 15's. Some of you guys i know are saying why dont you but a typer r or wrx or a faster car right? I cant my insurance will be way to freaking high. I pay now 350/mth for my civic ex 2002 coupe. I know you guys are thinkin well you dont need to speed anymroe then [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]. But i can stop so..... what are some of your guys 1/4 mile times Stock i did 16.5.

The way i see it is this...the last few gens didnt change much but when Honda redid everything on this gen it set back all the "tuners" a few because they basically have to redesign everything...if your willing to wait for speed then things wuill start to pour in...things like swaps turbo and etc...just gotta wait for a bit but if your the instant satisfaction guy then you picked the wrong generation...i think that Honda did good on this gen in a lot of ways im willing to wait but this is IMO

Personally, i havent ever taken my car to the track to get a 1/4 off. Im guessin i can pull 16 flat. I have CAI, but also 17" rims. Now, if all the lazy a$$ aftermarket people got off of the a$$e$, then i am confident that 14 are in reach. It would take a lot of selling drugs, and selling sperm, but with the right amount of cash it can be done without nitrous. It would probably involve something like: CAI, exhaust, headers, cam gear, cams, throttle body, VTEC controller, REV limiter, flywheel, sport clutch, short shifter, probably turbo/supercharger with all the fixins and with some real psi to boot, and a good driver. That should put you right there in the 14's.
Driver is very important though. Ive beat a 2000 prelude (200hp) with my car on CAI because i did everything right, and he smoked 1st BAD. But as i say, all the aftermarket people are lazy, and those things probably wont be out for a long time, if ever.

So you think they will make parts i mean i dont mine waiting i need to make the money anways [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]. And thats the thing we can get Vtec controllers. thats what i have read on the post i dont knof if anything changed.

You just have to give companies time to re-design everything. There is a post saying that a company is releasing a turbo for our gen. in the fall. Personally, I am just going to get a different car when I return from overseas.

A VTEC controller is not going to help your EX that much. You have economy VTEC and one cam, it is not going to give you an edge as it would an Si/SiR, Prelude etc. Were going into the 2003 model year now and still nothing. Dont expect anything big except on the Si/SiR model. THe only thing you can do is work on your block (ie port and polish) or give Gude's package a try if you want horsepower from the puny D block.
