Damaged Steering Rack?

2000 Buick Century Custom, A/T, P/S, 94k miles, purchased a few months ago

I replaced inner and outer tie rods on both sides a couple weeks ago and now it turns right as normal but is very hard to turn left while driving or parked and turning full lock to lock.
When the front end is raised on jack-stands it turns full lock to lock easily. I tried new PS fluid + Seafoam Trans-Tune and bleeding but didn't help. GM recommends removing rack for inner tie rod replacement but that's a pita. I made a mistake by not using vice-grips on the rack's steering shaft to counter torque when removing and installing the inner tie rods with an inner tie rod puller. I replaced front and rear struts last week and it's made the steering progressively worse. Anyone had this happen before? if so, did it require installing another steering rack to fix the issue?
