Any ideas on what may be causing an annoying vibration at approx 50-60 MPH but only when driveshaft is installed. Replaced w/ new driveshaft and confirmed driveshaft is balanced. Rear bearings replaced. Tires balanced Anyone have this elusive problem. Could a rear differential be at fault?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

A clue could be in the harmonics. Resonant reed tach, or electronic vibration analyzer?
What is the speed/frequency of the vibration? What components in the car are operating at that same speed?
Exhaust noise? Heat shield noise?
Those rear diffs have given me zero problems--- other than they can rumble and groan during slow and very tight turns if the fluid is overdue for service.
