What years to pursue / avoid?

I'm looking to replace my old Caravan with a "new" sedan, just starting to do some research on vehicles now.

Just wondering if there are any years/engines, etc that I should avoid or try to pursue?

Thanks!

Re: What years to pursue / avoid?

Personally the only civic that I would say to avoid is the 2006 model with the 1.8l engines. All other years have been pretty good cars and 06 are not bad cars, but they had a lot of first year problems.

Try to avoid the 2001-2002 models with automatic transmissions, known to have longevity issues.

I had a 2005 and it was a tank, sold it to upgrade. It had 240k miles on it and was still pretty solid.
