Help please!!!!!!

I recently purchased a 98 civic EX thinking it was ready to get inspected and would be a great car. it is throwing 6 codes and I can't figure out the necessary steps to diagnose the problems and fix them. the codes are, P0705 transmission range sensor 2 posi, P0172 fuel system too rich bank 1, P0175 fuel system too rich bank 2, P0420 catalyst system effaiency below efficiency below threshold bank 1, and P0170 fuel trim bank 1(1 active and 1 pending) I replaced the sensor on the gear shift thinking it was the right one but nothing. i replaced the front O2 sensor, no change. and i replaced the air temp control sensor and again nothing. i am on a tight budget and i am trying to avoid replacing random sensors and hoping its the right one. any thoughts/advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!! it has an aftermarket full exhaust but both O2 sensors are there. also has a cold air intake from spectre.

thank you to whoever responds. i greatly appreciate it!!!

Re: Help please!!!!!!

Sounds like you purchased a lemon, you should always do a PPI (pre purchase inspection). Sounds like you need a new catalytic converter. For the tranny, if you replaced the correct sensor and it's still throwing a code you probably have bad wiring which could be like finding a needle in a haystack.

6 codes is pretty big, you didn't check it for codes before you bought it? I hope you got a steal on it, because it might not be worth it to fix the car at this point.

Is the seller responsible for getting the car to pass the emissions/safety tests prior to your purchase?
