Neutral Drops?

Before i knew any better, I did them all the time and all I got was a need for a new transmission... sht did I ever learrn my llesson.. thank God for warranties and alot of lying [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/IMG]

you can accidentally bump your tranny to N when driving and then you punch it back to D because your panic-ing.

that is exatly what i did
i hit a lil bump and my hand flew and hit it into neutral then i paniced and stuck it back into drive!
but i only did this once!

Rep Power: 0 ya, i neutral dropped by accident once... at a light i hit it ( i guess) by accident, i'll never ever make that mistake again..
my one friends neutral drops his eclipse all the time. Needless to say, his car is in the shop everyother week.

Rep Power: 0 well before i knew it was bad i did it like 10 times total, and i haven't experienced any problems to date with my tranny, but i am not a dumass and i haven't done one since...

Rep Power: 0 Neutral drops are bad, and shifting an auto tranny that is not designed to be an autostick is bad too... I killed a transmission in my 90 Chevy Lumina Thunder Edition (YEAH BABY, Body kit and 15" 5 stars... american rice WOOT) because I was shifting it all the time... I learned my lesson.

Rep Power: 0 I use to do them every once in awhile but before you knew it I was in the shop getting my torque converter replaced. At least it wasn't my whole transmission, I know now that I will never do another neutral drop again.

Its not that I dislike civics, I just sometimes dislike civic owners/drivers. Esp. the dumb ones, as demonstrated by Greek boy over there.
