Old people drivin' Type-R ????
Yesterday I drove up the Shell gas station and spotted a 3 door Hatch. So I mentioned it to a friend next to me, but before I coud finish my sentence, I saw it was a Type-R. Sweet
Some time to talk to the driver and check it out some more. Guess, what happens next ? This old bag come out the driver side

She was like 50 or something. Damn, what's wrong with the world these days. I know this had been discussed a few times already. I didn't get a chance to ask her about the car, but I sure hope it belongs to her son or daughter. I bet she keeps it under 4500 rpm and uses it for shopping

lol, if that is her car, I bet she is one of the coolest 50 year olds out there.
yeah old people aren't bad, my dad is 55 and driving a fairly worked rsx-s. You forget that older people have infinitely more driving experience and knowledge, so if the car doesn't beat you the older driver behind the wheel certainly will. LATES
ya don't judge a book by its cover, my parents are in their 50's and my dad is a car finatic and has some sports cars and my mom drives whatever my dad lets her lol, no he just ok's the car before she buys it.
When my grandparents cruire around in their 550M, people probably think the same. They sometimes take it downtown and show it off and it is wierd seeing them in it. Too bad they will never let my brother or I EVER take it out.
wish my mom or dad drove a type r/integra/rsx/wrx, ****, my mom wont go even 66 (speed limit 65) on the highway...oh well...must be nice to be at that age and still have the knowing that you can still feel young! Props to all you 40+ yr olds with nice rides!
maybe it was one of those fake type-r decals you can buy at autozone or any auto type store in your area
i hope when im 50 im driving a lexus, bmw, or mercedes not a civic hatch back type-r

It sure as hell wasn't a fake Type R. Everyone on this site would've spotted it.
As for the jealousy ? A little ? Sure I'm jealous, and a whole lot of it, just like you would. It may have sounded like I didn't want her to drive a car like that. But she has every right to. It just looked out of place. Guess, you should've been there. And I never said old(er) people can't drive fast cars or are bad. I don't know where you got that. Most of us here are younger and only pretend we have fast cars, when in fact we don't. But we all know perfectly well that we also bought this car, because of it's fast image that fits the target audience. Hell, I don't even qualify that audience anymore since I'm 30 already
I still think CTR's fit better on younger people. And 18 is the same as 25 or 34 for that matter. If she was driving a 911, fast Merc or an M3 (which are faster than a CTR) it wouldn't have looked as much out of place. So it's not a matter of speed, but a matter of image. And everyone still has the right to say, "screw em, I like that car, I'm driving it.". But everyone also has the right to give their own opinion on that.
P.S. And I also wanted to share the nice encounter with you all, since we get to see CTR's . You can do the same to me when you see a RSX-S. It really pisses me off

This doesn't surprise me one bit...
Real car enthusiasts who've been into cars all their lives who chose the Integra Type R STILL have good taste in cars to this very day! I'm sure back in the day they could've had some of the nicest imports and how could you think they'd go wrong for choosing the most capable front-wheel drive car that doesn't even feel like a front-wheel drive car? They knew exactly what they got when they bought that car and that says they are serious about the cars they like in terms of performance.

Only your body gets older. You still feel young inside. That's what my mom always says. So, just because you consider someone to be old they can't drive a fast car? Ever wonder why you see the older people driving the expensive nice sports cars? The reason is because they are about the only ones that can afford them. Do any of you think you're going to be driving a 50k, 60k, 100k sports car before you hit 50? Even then, only a few people will actually be able to afford them. Now, I am talking about the people who go buy there 100k sports car with a check. Not all these people who will bounce every bill they have if they miss one pay check.

So some old lady was driving a CTR? And you said she went to the driver's side, so I assume she got in the right side of the car?

Eh, nope. Left side
Ooo, wait. I forgot to mention. I live in Europe. As in at the other side of the atlantic, where we also drive on the right side of the road with steering wheels on left side, unlike the UK. The CTR is built in the UK, but sold throughout Europe.
What I'm doing here ? Still don't know. Europeans drive $hitty cars. It's much nicer to hang around here

Okay, it all makes sense now. I had the whole europe and cTR thing mixed up. cuz I thought it was all right hand over in europe.
I didnt think honda made a left hand driver CTR. ????
If honda makes a left hand drive CTR, then why don't people import those here, instead of the right hand drive CTR from japan?
