Somebody actually acted on thier words (my 1/4 mile time slips) EDIT: finally posted all of my slips
you dont want to INflate your tires, you want to DEflate them.
inflateing them makes it so that there is less of the tire on the track and conversely, less traction. when you deflate them, the tires are fatter and have more traction on the track so that you can apply more horsepower to getting you to the end of the race.
hey, btw, good job. keep at it

Hey dude I think I made one or 2 runs after then (I was the only Civic there)....my friends were in the stands...like 4 guys and 1 girl...one had a video camera,...I went into the stands for a bit to take a break (i was the thin dude wearing a white shirt and some cargo kakis)...
Great ETs. I'm still trying to figure out how you guys are going so fast. Could be my 4225 ft elevation. My best time slip is in member's rides. I've got pictures of the racing on the website.

I am on stock tires and rims, stock exhaust, no spare tire, 1/4 tank of 92 octane gas, tire pressure is 26lbs in the front only.
Modifications:
DC sports Ceramic headers, chromed out Command Performance CAI, carbon fiber dash trim kit, carbon fiber altezza tails.
Here is the stock time 1/4 mile for civic EX 16.7

I thing those 17" rimims and above , you are losing horsepower, also that
extra weight of body kits doesnt help your speed.

The weight of the body kit really does not affect 1/4 mile times as much as the rims or ICE stuff would, as they are extremly lightweight. The rims don't really decrease hosepower, more like the weigh more, requires more effort to get them turning, therefore takes away from the final total of hp acutally hitting the ground and getting the car gowing. This is all from a logical point of view that is. I don't mean to be rude or anything, just giving my thoughts.
You are half right. The engine is producing the same amount of horsepower, but the horsepower to the wheels is lessened by the added weight of the wheels. No disrespect Phillippe01. Just adding to your thought.
