Wink replace sway bar links & lower control arm?

I went to sears to get my 7th gen sedan alignment done, they can't do the alignment because my sway bar links and lower control arm is bend, this is for the front right passenger. They talking about 7bill something to replace the shitness that including labor. But damn that taxing I search for both the parts and it only under 2bill. I wanted to order the parts and replace it myself. Have others out there have replace the sway bar links and lower control arm? How tough is the process and what tools do i need? Needs assistance, thanks in advance!

Sway bar links aren't too bad. I believe there is an LCA DiY floating around here. I can't remember if it's for the bushings or the entire assembly though. Depending on the car, they may require an Allen Key. There's a hex hole where the key should be placed and you turn the nut to loosen the links. My suggestion, get the Moog ones from Advance. Much better than the OEM Honda ones. Whereabouts are you located? If you live in an area where they salt the roads, get a can of PB Blaster and apply a few blasts of that stuff a few days prior to removal. I ended up having to hack my links off because they were sooooo rusty. One of them actually broke when I went over a bump in the road. Lol.

Replacing the LCA's is fairly simple. You can buy both arms from RockAuto.com fully assembled and its a simple bolt on. The sway bar endlinks are simple as well everything is just bolt on. But MelJ is correct, you will need an allen wrench to tighten them as the bolt turns inside the ball joint of the links. this is very simple work should take about 2 hours (1hr per side if you take your time) and about a 6 pack or so.

heres some links for ya

i replaced both the front and rear links. its a bit of a pain because space is limited and you need to figure out how to reach in and tighten everything. be sure to lift up the car first to unload the suspension before trying to change them.

also go to harbor freight and get one of the ball joint removal kit. they have the right one there (guess it was the larger one for our cars).
now to the police stuff - why is this in the gen automotive discussion?

Looks like this is the season for control arms. I went for alignment at Firestone and they told me the same thing. Unfortunately, my transmission blew up the next day so I am shopping for a used transmission and lower control arms.
