Re: Just to prove a point
Oh god, I sat in the Panamera, and felt like I was in a F1 limo, I loved it
Even though it doesnt look too appealing...it certainly gets the job done

Re: Just to prove a point
The only Panamera I've seen in real life was stuck so far under a semi cab you couldn't see the drivers door. I have to say it was huge for a Porsche- what I could see of it.

Re: Just to prove a point
I wouldn't drive the Panamera. In Top Gear,Clarkson complained that he was stuck in the Maserati behind Hammond's Panamera and couldn't stand the sight of it.When Hammond drove past a building with a reflection,he winced at the sight of his Panamera.I got to say,it's very ugly IMO.I'd take Clarkson's Maserati over it.
Re: Just to prove a point
Let me hit you back with some real lap times from the nurburgring:
GT2 RS-------7.18---$245k
ZR1----------7.22---$110k
Carrera GT---7.28---$484k
GT3----------7.33---$135k

Re: Just to prove a point
The Panamera's styling may take a bit of getting used to, I personally don't mind it, but in a Porsche it is performance that matters. If I were looking for a luxury sports sedan, I would be looking at the Porsche Panamera, Maserati Quattroporte, Alpine B7, Mercedes S60 AMG. Even with Alpina upgrades, the Alpina is more luxury sedan than sports car IMO; the Maserati is fun to drive, having driven a Quattroporte, I feel it has room for improvement and is pretty common around here; the Mercedes don't know that much about it, to drunk to research; the Panamera, is rare and from what I've been told by someone who owns one performs almost as well as a 911 turbo.

Re: Just to prove a point
If I made a car commercial, I'd slide a crappy car off the road and wrap it around a tree because the car I'm driving cant handle and the car that passed me is the one I want... I'd fade to black n then at the dealership buying that car... then for kicks I might cut in a shot of me driving and seeing some guy get in an accident after I flew past him... fade to black.

Re: Just to prove a point
I will admit that I was wrong about the price, and I confused the GT2 with the GT3. Porsche scrapes Vette? I don't think so.

But I agree. ZR1 is a beast at it's price. It's just that I'm more of a Porsche fan than I am of American Muscle.
I don't really like the stingrays, I actually like the old school diablo's better than the old school vettes

Then when I saw it in person, it was actually not too bad.
Then I actually kind of grew fond of the Turbo model. It's almost as fast as 997's, except it has a slightly longer wheelbase.
I hear at some point there was a 1 year waiting list for the turbo model.
I was up in the hills doing delivery, and saw this huge mansion with 2 Panamera 4S's in the driveway

I don't really like the styling of maserati's, it looks like an aston and a ferrari made love and that's what ended up.
Re: Just to prove a point
Those were best times that I posted.
I used to be really into Porsche's. But they haven't updated their styling sense WW2 and they are way overpriced! Their brakes are the only thing that really stands out. Rear engine RWD is just retarded, that's why they are so hard to regain control of after loosing traction.

I think that concept Stingray isn't bad looking. It still has that classic look like the split window in the back. But GM already announced it won't go into production. The only place you'll see that Stingray is in Transformers movie as Sideswipe the Autobot and at concept car shows.

LOL When I type too fast I generally take letters out not add them
Either way, welcome to the forum! I don't like stingrays, but that one isnt tooooo bad...
With the cost associated with that car I'd get something else though.

Re: Just to prove a point
I don't think I saw that auction.I rarely watch Barret-Jackson on SPEED.I usually only watch SPEED in NASCAR season for qualifyings and practice runs.Sometimes re-runs too.
Re: Just to prove a point
sice we're off topic
i like battle of the supercars, on speed, but i wish they'd have a new season of gumball the one where they race across america, not the one with Goldberg and the mini events.
and props to the new guy, nice car. wht engine managment are you using, any problems with vtec?

Re: Just to prove a point
I like watching the Le Mans 24 on SPEED when it's on.Or those other car races. What's those other ones?SCCA or something?I used to like Monster Jam,but then I got bored of it.I watched a few episodes of Battle of the Supercars. What's that other show Tanner Foust hosted? It was about supercars too.But anyways,I moved onto to Netflix or BBC for Top Gear.
Re: Just to prove a point
i love topgear!
sometimes i watch pinks all out ...why is it called that noone ever loses there car.
i love the oldies that shoot up on the back wheels, like that charger from fast and the ferious (but i think they faked it in FF.
