Re: Thickest Oil?
Is there some advantage to using thicker oil ? my civic normally uses 5w30 but i find in the summer it thins out too much in the heat so i get 10w30. Im guessing it has something to do with getting it up around all the parts in the engine?

Re: Thickest Oil?
tolerances are lower in these new engines. so you want to make sure the oil gets to where it needs to. 5w30 is fine in the winter and 10w30 in the summer. ive been fine with 5w30 year around tho and only had problems with 5w20 in summer.
