This is for a 2002 civic ex coupe (5-speed) that was not driven hard except on very rare occasions, and even then ive never floored it and only hit the rev limiter once. i drive on the highway whenever i can, but otherwise im on suburban roads (usually 35-45 speed limit so i drive 40-55) on the highway i go 65-69 except the turnpike where i go 70-75. i used pennzoil 5w-20 for my first oil change at 5200 miles. im still on stock wheels/tires for now. i sometimes have a passenger in my car and sometimes dont, probably alone about 70-30, and sometimes have more than one (i actually had 4 people in my car for 35 miles and 3 for another 40 miles and at least another 100 miles with 2 people on my 41.54mpg tank)

Not bad. I think my LX gets less than this, but I can't be sure. I should start recording like you though to find out. The MPG kept on increasing. Why do you think that happened?

probably a few things causing it to increase, the change to summer gas, the engine getting broken in, first oil change and the ecu getting used to my driving style. i think the change to summer gas was around the 38.81 tank (i think that was around the beginning of march) ive always used mobil 87 octane, usually from the same mobil station.

Hm...good job. You are a very "conservative" driver! Think I'm gonna start doing that for awhile, see how the gas milage is on a 01 Coupe 5 speed, with 18k miles on it already. I know I'm pretty much out of gas today, so whenever I fill up today I will start logging it.
