<< As far as purposefully making the light turn yellow, I don't know of anything that can make a traffic light do that. For me to change the light, I have to physically get out of my car, put my light key into the silver box on the side of the road, open it up, and push the appropriate button. Most traffic lights work this way, and like I've said I don't know of a device that will remotely change the traffic lights except for something called Opticom which makes the lights that face police cars, ambulances and firetrucks turn green and all opposing sides red and is used to quickly move traffic in an emergency, not issue tickets. >>
maybe that is what it was, though when ive seen that happen around here, all the lights have turned red and cop/emergency vehicle goes through the red light. the whole situation was a little confusing since he didnt turn his light on until i was beside him and the whole time he wasnt moving, but the light changed about 10 seconds before his light even went on, plus the fact that it was only a blue light and cops are red and blue, but im almost sure it was the slicktop cop car. maybe i was just really tired (it was almost midnight) and couldnt tell what was really going on or missed something. oh well i guess ill never really know what was going on there
I am rather familiar with the Pennsylvania Vehicle and Traffic Law and as far as I know, all police vehicles must display red AND blue whereas volunteer firemen/EMT use just blue. It is possible it was not a police vehicle if you just saw blue.
