i was working today and then i came outside to take a break from all the hustle and bustle of the grocery... right then my friend comes up and tells me this dood chucked a cart from the top of parking into a car... i was like... hmmm i better go check it out.... so as i was walking there i saw a cart tipped over right beside my car!!!!![IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG][IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/IMG] OMG my first reaction was it was my car.... and i started running towards my car and found out that indeed it was.... theres a fat dent that's about 6 inches long!!!! i was sooooo pissed... then i walked back to my friend and asked her exactly what happend.... she told me that some dood just chucked the cart at my car and once he saw it hit he just took off without saying anything.... apparently it was some dood in a crappy blue car... i hate people like that!!!! deng... i already had a hit and run at school a couple months ago... luckly it wasn't in my car and it was my parents.... but still people are freakin' evil!!!!! Have the store pay for it, even with signs out they still have to take responsibility. Especially if the parking lot is not actually there property, but the city's. Most parking lots are owned by the city, despite what you might think. I believe it is only government buildings and things of that are nature (US Post Office for one) that are not owned by the city, yet are still owned by the government or "franchise." Im just waiting for a cart to hit both of my rear quarter panels, so that I can file a report with my boss and get them to fix it ( I have a couple of dents already in my rear quarters).

Dude, it sucks what happened to you. You may be able to get the store to pay for it, but...
It is not actually the store's RESPONSIBILITY like some people are saying. Yes, they are responsible for the carts and the parking lot. So, if they didn't have cart return areas or something like that, you would probably have a really good fight. But, you can't honestly believe that they are responsible for what someone intentionally did with their cart. Its no different than if I intentionally run over someone with a cart. Sure, they provided the cart, but they had no part in my intentional actions.

Sorry, i'll get off my soapbox. I just couldn't believe people thought the grocery was responsible.

Good luck though, you may be able to get them to pay.

i had some thing quite simmilar in the manner i was at work and i was going home and my girlfriend who worked with me at the time said "hey babe your gonna be pissed as hell when you see this" i had just gotten my car out of the body shop and someone keyed the same quarter panel they just fixed and i'm not talkng about a small scratch it was across the whole quarter panel so i feel you pain man

Oh man now that just argggg makes me mad, some people are just so ummmm [IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/IMG] I would like to just take care of those people my way line them all up in a line. My dads brand new Accord had that done on the rear passenger panel and its just so rude and just juvenile. They see a new car with a dealer plate and just decided to ruin some ones hard work.

Usually the signs that say "we are not responsible for ____" aren't worth the paper they are printed on. The establishment will usually pay if you can prove that it happened on their premises (with a police report) and will then in turn file a claim with their insurance carrier so they get reimbursed.

do they have cameras monitoring the parking lot? I work at a theater, and I was able to track down someone that backed into my car and have them pay for damages. sucker thought he could get away by not leaving a note I got a clear shot of his license plates.

that commerical was CLASSIC!!!! the way that dude tackled the cart....holy hell that was funny!!

sorry that happened dude, people suck, my friend got lucky i guess, we came out the store and this dude had a cart and got a real good push and hurled a cart right at my friends civic!! Before we could do anything the cart caught somethin on the ground and the cart changed direction and missed my boys ride. The dude said "f#ck" and went into the store, walked right past us.....now was our turn.

He had a nice Lexus, which amazed me cause he had a nice ride....we picked up the cart and smashed it into his hood. Took a black marker and wrote on his driver side door "Nice try with the cart....you missed!" then we took off, was at night and granted this was NOT smart but man the way this dude hurled the cart, sheesh, and he WAS aimin for the car cause we parked away from peeps and the car was solo. Wasnt smart...but felt justified!

dude it was like 30 year old, low 30's is what im guessin. Blew my mind cause it was an adult but adults lately r blowing my mind cause i had some older women SQUEEZE her SUV into a spot next to my car that MY civ could barely fit, she opened her door and hit my car right in front of me!! was stunned, she walked past me like she did nothin and when u hit another car w/ ur door...u know it.

I started yellin at her and she blew me off, said i should have moved my car cause she didnt wanna walk far to class (this was at college) it was MY fault, i dont condone hitting women but oh my god.......lucky for her there was no mark but whoa baby!!!

Im serious man there r idiots around, and i cant tell u how many stories we have of people wanting to fight us cause we drive imports/we style r hair and dont have redneck shaved haircuts/we r good lookin and we r white. Rednecks hate white people that dont drive a truck. No joke ive been surrounded cause of my car and almost got jumped cause im supporting "Asians" as they put it.

btw there r alot of rich kids here, large Asian community here and many have lexus's cause they own shrimp boats which make hella money. My friend Tommy (Asian) has a 4.0 Acura, SWEET!!!! and an IS 300

i soooooooooooooo loath him, this **** wears like $2000+ outfits out when we party, hell his watch is 1500 and his belt is 300, thats just those, not coutin necklace/bracelet and other clothes he has on......sick money man
