i appologize for the wait on images once again, ias i mentioned before, i called today and spoke with them regarding some before shots of the car before the tear down and rebuild. I still have not recieved any pictures for this ..Again!! arghh!!

Now im assuming it wont be til this Tuesday if i see any images with the Easter long weekend. But i will slap them on the very second i recieve them.

but yea, my friend that was stationed in japan said skylines were a dime a dozen over there, but most of them gtst's.. he said they don't compare to the GTRs..

it'll turn a head or 2 (read: more.. lol) when it's all said and done stateside, though.. can't wait to see the pics

well.....it all depends on what you want really?

GTR is a sweet machine too, has 30HP more then the RB25DET im getting installed, but also weighs like 300Lb more then a GTS-T because of the AWD system, twin turbo, etc....

thing about a RB26DETT is you can blast over 1000HP into it compared to the RB25DET which max's out around 800+ HP.

all in what you want?
Another great thing about GTRs is that the launch is better with AWD, but then again theres a GTS4 (i think thats what its called?) that has the AWD too!

dude just take the drive out there. 4 hrs is nothign. i took a 3 hr drive to pick rims up. if i were you id go there to check **** out. and why not a shop closer to your house?

I believe that the AWD won't help you on launch with the GTR. It is force proportional. That is, if your going in a straight line, like racing, and the power is given to the real wheels. But if you autocross, the power is distributed to where it is needed.

yes...i do have great patience however....
i do have a contract so im not worried about getting ripped off, but i have no choice as ive had to wait for the engine and other parts coming in from Japan. All the rest of the parts also including the Skyline are only 4 hours away so once this stuff clears customs/cifa then the shop will have it, and immediatly start the work on it.

it does anger me though....a week or more ago i had emailed the shop tech regarding bofore images, his reply was to send a more detailed version of what exactly i wanted in the image....which i did and i still have no images?
then i called them yesterday and the girl told me everything was going smooth and the images were being taken care of......to find out after work (11PM) that yet again i still have no images? oooF!

my patience is now running thin, but i do keep in mind that in 2 weeks time this car is in my hands anyhow.

has any one person on this forum ever dealt with getting a Nissan RB series engine from Japan using a shop? lol

ok...maybe i could have gone to see the Skyline (4 hours away...sure) but that still wont get me anywhere when the engine is on a container from Japan? so what would the point of looking at my Skyline with NO engine under the hood be? hmmm?

Deal was done Mid December 2007,
I was told this would be done somewhere Mid January 2008,
then things when real quiet for a lengthy time then i was told
the damn ship broke down in Yokahama, then to have serious issues in Dailin China where they had to transfer ALL containers to another ship. Things keep going sideways regarding just about everthing for this ****!!

It wasnt until i finally called them only weeks ago and said the word "Small claims" to them when i actually got a date of completion (April 05/08).

Litterly....not much i can do as this is all in the hands of the shop as they are the ones that ordered the **** and i am the one to pay the price.

ONLY can the shop do it for me, and the ship DID port on March 12/08 and is or will be released to the shop now or by the time this easter weekend is over with (Tuesday-Saturdays the shop is open 9AM-6PM)

- Foot pedals (aftermarket)

this would be sweet!
a Difuser rear bumper, wow!
but i would keep the lower "difuser" part black and the rest of it Bayside blue.
