well....you could but....
the VQ originally is not a boosted engine so this would mean upgrading all the internals to maintain the new levels of pressure such as rings, forged pistons, head gasket, etc... this means alot of money aswell as the kit to swap it into a Skyline along with the VQ engine. This would have gone beyond my 10k budget on the car. However....if in the future my RB25DET blows up and i find it difficult or too time consuming as it has done to me already to date, then id possibly consider the VQ swap later on. My buddy just got a 350z grand touring and the car moves pretty damn good for N/A!

but it would be worth every penny.

the only thing that sucks for me is the back head is real close to the firewall so to get to anything back there i have to take it all apart. like to get the back spark plugs i have to take the i.m off. sucks. and ***** expensive cams are like 2k and up. but then again there are 4 cams. :/

but the owner for the first time in this ordeal has set a date for me to pick the Skyline up for which im holding him to it. Ive already contacted my lawyer which directed to how to start a small claims case if this goes any further, ive told this to the owner and let him know that this had gone on far too long now and i want results!

Ive also called today and asked they take Before & After images of all work done to it so ill post that as it comes to me, ill still pop some images of the car completed when i get it myself aswell in the end, ill even slap on the paper with FGCOUPE for you guys. I am really not trying to start anything here ok!

huh? ideally, and mostly for large-hp applications, you upgrade all the crapola you're talking about. it is not necessary to do so when slapping on a bolt on TT kit. the vq is decently strong from the factory to handle 11-13 psi (if i remember the numbers correctly).

to goto small claims in Canada you need to goto the nearest registry (court house) nearest the party you want to sue. Its 156.00 to start the claim and then you present your case to a judge, he then sends the docs to the party you are against, if he answers to it then he is drawn to a time limit set out by the courts. If he ignores the docs then its all brought in front of the judge where you and the party present your proof, etc then the judge makes a decision and still....the party would have a time limit set forth to have all work done by.

only other Fees that may occur during the process may be when other docs need to be filed, etc

the vq engine can do 400whp on stock internals at low 7.5 psi.

ok...now things are finally being pieced together, I got a phonecall today and the container has reached Canadian soils, it will take a few business days from now to have customs do the paperwork,etc.
So...my RB25DET, Seats & Headliner are now officially in our hands, in the meanwhile the car is now being prepped for the swap, removal of the old seats, HICAS steering rack, etc....

The images of the "Before" work will be in my hands real soon which ill pass on as soon as i get them.

All i know is this has been the longest wait ive ever had in my life for anything ive wanted! lawls! But my patience is thin but now atleast this looks like its coming to its end.

Now that April 05/08 is closing in id thought id throw some new info in....

The owner called me this morning to let me know that everything is still on track regarding the containers being pulled from customs REAL soon now, he went on to tell me that CFIA has to do a "dirt" inspection then theyll give the notice to allow for them to pick it up.

The front open-mouth style grille will be in today or tommorow then being prepped/painted, the wheels are now ordered (black w/silver rim), and all work to the car will commence the moment its in their posession.

unfortunetly i will not have images until he starts to prep the Skyline for the work to be done which will be soon aswell.

i had a s14 with a rb25 swap and it was expensive *** hell to buy parts for it cause most of the parts we're only located in japan. the shops here in the US barely even carry parts here for it

yep...im all aware of where this comes from, however it is expensive, yes!
but... in Canada its not half bad to get parts forthis as we have a few companies that deal with these cars. 1 of which is opening a 2nd shop in Japan to get things more readily available, etc...

only a matter of days now before i should have the images even ive been awaiting for, and approx 2 weeks til i get this Skyline!
