Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
I think anything is that way. If you've spent a fair amount of time doing something, and not doing it half assed, how can you not respect the effort itself? People can talk badly about it but it gets noticed, because it's unique and it's obvious that it was no easy task.
Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
i definately give you props for doing the paint job man and i understand how hard it probably was to do it but i still simple say its not my taste. not trying to down play the effort.

Thats *********in right, dont pay these clowns n e attention. Its "YOUR" car and "You" did it to please yourself. not these clowns. It aint always about what everyone else says or thinks. The way most of these dudes mod their car is by listening to what other people think will look good on their car. Imagine that. Letting someone else tell u how to mod your car to suit their tastes. dont mind the hate. good support always overshadows the hate. Good job on the time and effort. Hope the results where what you wanted!

Are you ashamed of her?
(http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=gfy refer to number 7) What the hell is with that? Remind me what the rules are on moderating language???

Back to topic...either you like it or you don't. No name calling or talking about gf's. Everyone respect each other's opinions or this thread will be no more.
Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
ok if you dont want peoples negative feedback why would you post up asking what people think about it? also i dont like it its a good paint job but personally not my style the wire tuck looks awesome thou n props on teh turbo n front end, and why is it ok to make fun of ricers yet you cant make fun of something like this just because he did what he likes obviously lil ricers do that to their cars because they like it n it makes them feel goodso what makes it ok to make fun of them n not this guy
Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
i would love to see a ricer who would actually take his engine and tranny out of his bay, shave the bay and do all the required cutting and welding, then do a proper paint job and put everything back in with wires tucked.

Despite the fact that I am not a fan, he has more skill and dedication that 90% of the stupidity on this site. He took out most of the front clip, cleaned the engine bay, prepped it, painted it, then put it all back together....with a turbo at that.
Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
ya n i gave him props on that im just saying that there is no diffrence between makin fun of this guy and makin fun of a ricer hell this site even has a thread making fun of ricers and had this engine bay been put in there it wouldve got made fun of just the same im just sayin just because its good craftsmanship doesnt exclude him from ridicule from those that believe he deserves it
I just burnt my tongue

Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
that is so weird seeing a dc2 engine bay with a B series in it...i've been looking at k20 swaps for a while now so its throwing me off lol...
Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
my obvious comment, to each their own. to the owner, Kudos on taking the time to do all that work on your car, the wire tuck looks wicked, love the front end! I personally have been called a "ricer" due to my cobalt, but no one has seen the pics of the vic i have (and they will learn later, i am not rice!) But the time i put into all the work on my other car, and the time i am putting into my vic, it makes me happy knowing i did it myself, and i learned a thing or two in the process.
Again, Kudos to you man. The checkerboard/chessboard pattern is not my type, but it's also not my car.

Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
I think the paint job, and detail looks great. Aside from some squares being deformed due to position, it really looks good.
However...it does not look good on this car. If this was done to a Chevy SS or something similar, it would not be such an eyesore to me. I really do like the idea though.

Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
Now why do you say that? the guy was just on here
Maybe to a checker cab!!!!!! No SS would deserve that, they deserve the paint job normally found on a clown car, cause they are all a JOKE!(this coming from an SS owner)

Re: Do you dig this engine bay??
lolz, probably right, but to me it would suite an american car better. I still like some ss models, even if they are hyped.
