Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
Ok folks, the first dyno run in November was horrible. I redid my map and the car ran better but I needed to get on the dyno to work out some bugs. I'm still not putting out anything impressive but nevertheless numbers are numbers. Still saving up for that standalone.

Did you just have new dyno run?
With header, exhaust, intake, cam & emange, I'm estimating 130whp.
I've also heard, that iVtec cant be controlled with emanage blue?

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
Looks like I'm not the only one jumping on the dyno.
BTW, I went with stage 2, in the build as we speak- just got some base numbers.
I'm seeing 2,000 rpm increase. I thought it maxed rpms at 8,000- and stage 3 was 9,000. I guess thats just a suggestion, I never heard anything as to why you would do that. ???
Anyways, your running the valvesprings too correct? Did you upgrade the valves or valve seals?

Holly!
Just realized you are spinning to 8500!
125whp, definitely on the low side.
Was vtec on during the run?
I think your megan header is killing your top end power.
Try borrowing kamikaze race header and compare. You should see better numbers.

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
Woah Woah, sorry for the confusion guys. The first run numbers was how I came in before the tune (my street map that I made with the wideband). If you all don't remember I made 107whp 98tq with the megan header and stock cat. Now I am running the hp header and test pipe. I redline at 6800k or w/e the ecu goes to on the EX but as you can see the cam is still making power at redline so the car is just asking to rev more. Triz congratulations on the cam purchase. I bet you'll put higher numbers than me. I just have bad luck when it comes to this crap but ya I have the valve springs and retainers but stock valves.

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
Running emanage for now, not the best but it does its job adding fuel. Honestly, I think a VAFC 2 might do a better job. Curious to see if the car runs smoother with the Greddy pressure sensor and tune off manifold pressure instead of throttle position.
Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
not bad ian. maybe instead of going turbo, u shoud just buy high compression pistons and rods, and have some fun all motor.
when i took my car to turbo trix to get tuned when i was turbod, i made 108hp...b.c they couldnt tune the e-manage. idk. looks good thou.

So wait, whats up with your rev limit at the moment? Did the dyno just not get programed right when you pulled up, and is reading the revs on the high side?

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
Yes, it was a third gear pull but I think he could have even revved it higher bc I know for a fact my 3rd gear tops out at 90mph;I've tested this on the street.

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
It is very frustrating I told Dailydriver1 that I'm not sure if I just have A.) a weak engine, B.) bad tuner C.) emanage limiting the horsepower.

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
I really don't want to hear "bad tuner." Ronaldo9 - you know my problem. Is Turbotrix doing your e-manage tuning or did you bring someone else there? I'm thinking of just driving to friggin' NC and paying Chris a visit at this point I'm so pissed off.
Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
has anyone with the stage 2 tried the AEM F/I piggyback? i know its new but i dont think i have heard of anyone using it except for turbo. im curious to see if it would fare better than the emanage. i have heard basically that the emanage is a waste of space in the car just because no one can really tune it correctly and even if you can it never works like its supposed to.

Re: Crower Stage 2 cam dyno tune part 2
^^^ did you get your car tuned at Church's (according to your sig)???
what mods do you have on your car for all motor?
if you did get your car tuned at Church's, i've heard that their dyno numbers always read higher than other shops, if so your results may not be "on par" with our numbers.

Recently when i got hondata, it was tuned at church's but thats a completely different time and dyno.
