about the neuspeed thing.. seeing as how the company was started by bill neumann (assumingly pronounced new-man) taking the "neu" from his name and adding speed would lead me to pronounce it as "new-speed"

and the mugen thing.. since it is japanese and should be pronounced as such, mu makes a "moo" sound, and the g is a hard g sound, as spoken in "again"

I think you misunderstood... but I had to read it a couple times. He's wanting to know if mugen has a hard or soft g sound in the middle. It's a hard g sound. Anyhow, this topic was entertaining...I actually read all the pages...

Re: Correct brand name pronunciation

From last page:
yes HKS is pronounced H-K-S, but do you know what it stands for? *answer below

Here's another one,---> Hotchkis
Is this pronounced 'hotch-kiss' or 'hot-chicks'

And one more ----> Tanabe
Is this pronounced 'tan-uh-bee' or 'tuh-nah-bee'

Oh here's another I just thought of---> Nismo
Is this pronounced 'Nizz-Moe' or 'Niss-moe'

Hm, oh and damn I thought of more----> Lamborghini Gallardo
is it (guh sound) 'Gee-are-dough' or 'Guh-rar-dough' or 'Guh-Lar-dough'

And the Muricelago:
is it 'mew-rah-lah-go' or 'mer-cee-lah-go'

*Answer for HKS question: HKS stands for
Hasegawa (Hiroyuki Hasegawa)
Kitagawa (Goichi Kitagawa)
Sigma (Sigma Auto.)

It's actually neither for Murcielago. It's really Mur-Thee-a-law-go. It literally means bat in spanish. But it was actually named after some famous bull, i believe.

as for Gallardo, it's Ga-Larr-do. in spanish it means graceful i believe. it is a breed of bulls.

In fact, all Lamborghini's are named after bulls. As Ferruccio Lamborghini was born a tauras, represented in the company's logo. Just a fact.
