My car got busted into the other day... i have a 2 door 01 ex, and they smashed out the rear driver side window - the 1/4 size one.

the guys also disabled the alarm. this all happened while it was sitting in the parking lot of a mechanics shop (leave at my own risk...joy). to keep it short, i think it was a mechanic who did this. because there is no way they got in through that window, and if they opened the lock it would have set off the alarm. what i need to know is where they would have had to clip the wires to shut off the electrical stuff. the power locks dont work anymore, and my stock deck doesnt turn on.

i need help because the cops dont give a **** about it and wont make an arrest unless i do the thinking and hunting it myself and lay it all in their laps.

how hard would it be for somebody to pop the hood to get at the wires?

Your factory alarm harness and your door pins and all the other goodies are behind your change dish and underneath your fuse panel. Hope it all works out for you.

my power door locks only work when the car is running. is this related?

Check the "back up" fuse in underhood box,#9 = 10 amp.

i just dont get it. they break the back window, unlock the door. go inside and rip out the stereo, pop the trunk, rip out my woofer and amp... but at what point did they go after the electrical stuff? the panels were still in place under the dash, but they left the trunk open when they left. it just doesnt add up.
