possibly gettin a new accord mayb wrx?!!
well my parents told me that if everything goes well financially they will buy me a new car, which i said i want an accord coupe 5spd. the civic of course will still be in the family, which will be driven by my dad. anyone with a good knowledge of the new accords, is there anything i would need to watch out for on the new accords? mind u i will be gettin the k24 5spd accord ex coupe i highly doubt my parents would buy me the v6. the previous gen i heard had some transmission issues which possibly have been solved by the dealership but has honda fixed the issue on the newer ones?
any pointers on the new accord or any info before i decide 100% positive that im gonna get it. thx

If you can wait, there is a good chance that they are going to redesign the Accords for 08. If you can't, don't feel bad for getting one now. I have an 05 and love it. Its a great car. The 4cyl model has decent power and great mileage.
But if you can wait, you can see what the 08 models are like, and if you end up not liking them, you can still probably nab an 07 model for a good price.

If its coming out, it will be around this time next year. I have no doubt, since it seems to be a trend with cars for the most part, that the next Accord will be nicer in all aspects, but cost more also. I also wouldn't be surprised if they didn't offer lower end models like they currently do (like a LX 4cyl).
But like you said, you are not in need of one right away, so keep your eyes open for more info on the new model.

yea ill have to wait till my parents give me approval of gettin a car, which i have no idea when that will be. the new accord style looks kinda crazy. its def the best lookin one out of all the new accord sedan body styles. wonder if they will be making one in a coupe form. i think i might just stick with the 7th gen accord coupes cause knowing honda they prob will go crazy with it with stupid computer ****. time will tell i guess.

well ive also been thinking of gettin a wrx...i really want the 04-05 models due to the great front end it has but ive been growing on the new ones. anyone know how good they are built? only thing i really heard bad about the wrx's is that they have weak trannys.is there anything else that any of you guys heard about them? if i were to get a used 04-05 wrx wat things should i look out for? im gonna also try the newer ones prob 06 or something. wish the dealerships around my area had the tr models but o well.

^cool ill take a look at it.
im still leaning more to a wrx possibly around the years 04-05 but if i can i might get the newer wrx. too bad no dealerships sell the tr one but i can do for a regular wrx sedan. has anyone got any info on wat to expect on these newer ones and mayb the 04-05's? are the tranny issues still aparent(sp?)? i did hear about the motor mounts being real shitty but subaru fixed the issue and put bak their metal mounts but this is for the sti does it apply to the wrx too? any thing else i should know? thx

I just bought an 07 Coupe V6 6Speed and absolutely love it so far. If you get one make sure you get the Aero Kit. Adds to the look big time.

I have the Eibach Prokit, Borla Catback and an AEM V2 sitting in my bedroom. I'll probably throw it all on in the spring when I get my VOLKS.
Maybe a WRX? If you're going to be working on the car, id go with a WRX, they're more fun to work on (IMO). If you're just going to be driving stock, or maybe do one or two intake mods, go with the accord. Waiting for the 08 would be fun, because you'd have the latest car out there, but with that... comes the new problems, that you'll have to wait for other people to figure out to fix it.
