but HP isnt everything, by the time he hooks up the corvette would be gone, and if he caught up somehow he would drop way back int he turns again.

laughable.
no one in the market for an f430 is going to buy a vette.
dont get me wrong, its gonna be a fast car, and probably a monster on the track, but the vette is just not a luxurious car. its not as technologically advanced as the ferraris. its just crude and brute power. and anyone that wants that can surely do that on their own for far less than $60k by going through a custom shop.
what chevy needs to do is stop wasting development money on stupid **** like that and actually make a high quality car thats not all plastic inside.

the car looks awsome.
why is that everytime someone says something about a vette its starts this holy war about how american cars r not worth the money. truth is domestic cars r just as good as any import and there was a time when Japanese cars quality was so low that no one would touch them. and civics have just as many problems as say a neon. there must be at least 100 post on here with someone having problems with there stock vic breaking down or having problems. And my dad had a 91 corvette that ran over 100k miles and was bracket raced until he sold it a few years later and it ran fine.
the problem is most people have an opnion about domestic vs import and think there view is right and everyone should agree.
chevy should build this car!

Sure, the Z07/Blue Devil/C6.R/Sting Ray is a modified production car, but it's made by the same company that makes the base car. By your definition, anything with an "AMG" badge on it would be modified. But I'm sure that's not what you mean.
Let me get this straight... you're saying that AMGs are not modified production cars? You're saying that this car is the same as this one?

I'm saying those are the same cars in the same sense that the C6 Corvette is the same as the Z07 concept. One is merely an updated and modified version of the other, albeit from the same company. So both the Z07 and an SLK65 AMG are both modified production cars.
