GreenNVicious can only hope to improve
My friend's 99 5.7L Camaro SS gets just as good gas mileage (give or take a few) than my Civic does, puts out 4x times the horsepower and torque too. Then again, in terms of reliability, Honda wins, hands down.

umm the nsx is a high performance engine while the vette is just pure displacement.
the nsx does burn alot of gas for hard acceleration.

I believe you two... but still doesn't seem right. Obviously more displacement means the need for more air, and the need for more air means the need for more fuel.. So I dunno? Anyway go to www.acura.com, click on NSX, and then "NSX experience" its like an interactive guide to the NSX. Very cool!

The Corvette in 6th gear is turning a whole lot less rpms than the NSX is at the same speed.

NSX = 2350 rpm @ 60mph in 6th gear
Vette = 1320 rpm @ 60 mph in 6th gear

Since the NSX is turning 1000 rpms more it is easy to see why the Vette is rated higher in mileage. The figures for the Vette was a non-ZO6 , but should still be fairly close.

Part of the reason their gas figures are a bit "skewed" is because of the tall tall 6th gear. In fact, 6th gear is SO tall, that the car's top speed is reached in 5th in stock form.

It's because of this "TALL" 6th gear that the figures are dropped much lower than they would normally be.

And there's enough NSX vs Z06 crap going on, that I'm not going to let another thread go on it.
