Need Help Quick!!!!
I just installed a K&N typhoon on my 2003 EX. I followed the give instructions to the T. I test drove the car and it runs great. But when i got back and popped open the hood, I can hear a chattering sound. ???? Anyone know what this is? Sounds like something is vibrating against something else. Everything is tight and nothing is hitting anything. The sound seems to be coming from the throttle body or the valve cover. This car has 47k miles on it. IS this sound suppose to be there? I'm not running the car untill someone can let me know whats going on. I also get a high pitched hisss but it's coming from the Air filter so i assume it's suppose to sound like that. Any help would be great! i don't want to kill my motor!
I'm unusually bored.

I'm thinking these are normal sounds that were previously baffled by the air box setup. You're also listening a lot closer to it since you've changed something. My intake has a slight hiss to it, and the chattering sound could be the clicking other people have mentioned on here. Both normal.
dont know about the clicking.. mine would rattle agains the hood when it was down which was kind of annoying....
The hissing is normal and its even more evident on startup/ shutdown... i love that sound

Hum... well it runs nice, it's just sounds like a riser is clicking. Anyone else have any ideas?
Anything?
So the noise doesn't start right away when i start the motor. It takes about 5mins of Idle before it begins to chatter. And even after a 10 mins drive it still chatters. I can't hear this from in the car, i have to open the hood to hear it. But either way it's still there. I really hope i didn't reck a Lifter. Could it be dirty? I'm doing an Oil chance sunday, should I add any cleaners to my oil like seafoam?
