Most likely the emission thing will just be the car being tested for CA emission laws, ask to take it and make sure it will pass inspection. I would suggest finding out more about the accident info. I thought carfax gave more info than that? That accident info could be anything from a cracked windshield to a major accident. Research it more before you buy it.

haha, have you ever seen how fast they can chop a car?
it's got a theft report and an accident on top of that. the emissions thing is minor.
regardless, you can find another S2000 for the same price that DOESNT have any of these things.

I couldn't even fit into the MRS when I was 15, that car is way too small. MRS has around 130hp and weighs about as much as the EG Hatch. Rough ride and wind noise are a given on a roadster. The Z and G35 are built more like a grand touring car so they don't react as quickly to the driver's desire. The S is light and drives that way, sometimes I feel that the steering seems really flimsy at high speeds. If your not griping that wheel the car will flow where it wants. Although the S and Z are just as fast in 1/4, the S is more of a track car than anything. And then Zs main focus is the 1/4. Both cars can be made to be just as fast in the straights or the twisties, but N/A mod for mod, the Z will give better results (do the math). Forced Induction anyways is a different story as people are blowing engines left and right with the VQ.

also, an 02 with 54k on it isn't bad. that's not the one that you're talking about that was stolen though is it? I have an 02 with actually, 54k on it.

lol there's a ton of info on S2k's at www.s2ki.com. In the s2000talk forum, there are FAQs with tons of info. There's also FAQs in the Under The Hood forum as well.
I have had no problems with leaks or tears. The 02+ tend to have minimal issues with stress tears forming in the convertible top.
