well... not quite as eventful as i had originally hoped for... not even close, actually
basically i walked into the MoneyGram store, filled out an express payment thingie for $11,006.19, put my account number and everything at the top, handed the little clerk chick the form and a huge *** stack of hundreds, and like 10 minutes later i get an automated call telling me that my title has been released to me and that it'll be arriving in the mail in a week or two... go figure...
so i was like "alright, i'll go down to the towing place and kick THEIR *** instead"...
i get to the towing/repo compound, and there's little old Mr. Miyagi guy there, so i'm kinda being a di(k telling him that he has possession of a paid-for vehicle that i have come to claim... so he takes me out to where my car is parked, and here's what i see:
my car is flawless... no scratches in the paint, no curb checked rims, no dents or dings...they took my CD player faceplate off and all of my CDs and electronics out and had them locked in the safe so they wouldn't be stolen... they had removed my jacket and some of my clothes that were in there (workout gear, jogging pants, stuff like that), and he had FOLDED THEM and put them in a bag all nice and neat... they took all the garbage out, and they even washed my damn car... it looked 10x better than it did when they took it last week... and the storage was only like $10 a day, so for like $120 i was on my way back home with my car...
i'm a pretty laid back dude, but the redneck pistol-packin ***-kickin tendencies come out if you push me far enough, and to be honest the only person that deserves a bitch-smack is the asshat Collections Agent that i originally spoke with... everyone else was incredibly polite and helpful...
i realize this whole ordeal was overhyped... i was really looking forward to walking in to Gunn Honda in a mink coat and gators (or maybe rolling up with an entourage of Men In Black lookin ***** and a briefcase full of $1 bills, attached to my wrist with fuzzy pink handcuffs, of course), but apparently Honda Financial has absolutely nothing to do with Honda dealerships, with the exception of the name
but hey, here's the bright side:
- i got my car back
- we have substantially more posts and points than we did 2 weeks ago
- none of us got banned
and last but certainly not least...
- we got to hate on Canadians
sorry this wasn't as cool as it was originally intended to be... unfortunately we live in a society where you can't just walk up to someone that's being an *** and punch them in the face, or this would have been a much more exciting story...
i still wanna hit somebody... my roommate is sleeping on the couch, maybe i'll go beat his *** and take pictures of that

I have to post before this gets locked(why they even lock threads I'll never know,POINTLESS.) I'm glad to hear that there was no damage. That's got to be the first time i've ever heard of a towing company babying someones car. The thread was funny enough to make up for the lack of a collection agent asswhooping...

It is kinda hard to be an *** when they took care of your stuff. But its good to hear you got your ride back and you now belong to the paid off club. The only benifit is being able to buy more stuff for it lol.
