full tank = 8.5 days!

last week i got out of work and went to put gas at cheveron. while i was pumping gas i started playing with my phone and completely forgot that i was pumping. i ended up putting $29 bucks of gas at 11.x gallons! ****!! is what i said after i noticed. i didnt think a an 01 coupes tank was that big but i had been driving around with the gas light on for awhile that day so she was pretty dry. a tank of gas has never lasted that long for me probably since the car was brand new. after i got my HFP's gas mileage has been getting better and better since the chromes have been off.

I usually last a couple of weeks and go between 400 and 460 miles. My fill-up is usually around 11 gallons.

I just got 350 out of a tank. But then again, I only got 11 gallons in. I couldve gone 400 or more. The light turns on so early!

used to last me about 3 days or so, approximately 380 miles. now since i have transmission problems, i've probably driven it 300 miles in the last month.

hehe, i pumped 13.6 gallons in at the pump, i was pissed off cuz the station was scamming me cuz i had enough gas to drive into the station so my tank wasnt empty, even if the tube that goes down to the tank filled, it shouldnt be that high.

I seriously wonder how you can get 400 miles on a tank. I usually get a wee under 500km which is 310 miles.

I see you're from Ottawa. Maybe it's something to do with the weather. Gas consumption could be higher during winter. The air is more dense, since it's cooler, thus our engines work more 'efficiently' by burning more fuel. I don't know how the air could heat up magically before entering the combustion chamber, therefore I think the onboard computers simply add more fuel to the mix to maintain the performance we're used to during summer-time. Could it be the case?

Well, I have kept track of my mileage each time I filled up and it does use more fuel in the winter. The best I got was 8.3l/100km(28.3MPG) and the worst was 8.9l/100km(26MPG) in the winter.

I'm getting an average of 6.99L/100km right now in Toronto with my EL...
Spend one day in downtown, the rest around GTA...

Before the light comes on, I could get at least 600km then whatever how long I drive with the light on...

The closest time I came to out of gas was when I filled up to 49L of gas...lol...scary...
