Gearing

Okay this has been puzzeling me for a while. Before i did the engine swap from my D17A2 to my current K20A.. when i would be driving down the free way, i would sit about 80mph @4200Rpm, even though i have switch from a 5spd to a 6spd it still runs the same Rpm for the speed.. I belive that the final Drive on the 5spd was 4.41 vs the 6spd which is 4.73.. so how can it still be the same speed for rpm?

acjones21 is an unknown quantity at this point
the gears in the D17 tranny and the K20s are different. All things being equal, as long as the tranny gear and the final drive multiply to give you the same number then you will run the same speed.
