Um you want a Volvo hatchback? Need to make a safe run to get some diapers for your kid? Haha, I'm just kidding. The G35 is a bad redesign IMO. Its nothing like the original. Too far overboard you know. Kind of like the 8th Gen Vic? Haha. Man people must hate me for saying that. Have you ever seen a G35 Xmod? No. I rest my case, haha.

Rep Power: 304 No, this is not the next Skyline, it's the next G35. Next time do a search.

The next GT-R is here:
By the way for all you who continue to call the G35 a skyline, bear in mind that the skylines of the past NEVER shared platform with any other Nissan. Whether they were actual GT-R's or just the run of the mill mediocre skyline coupes or sedans. The G35 is merely a 2+2 350Z. Back when the Nissan 300ZX was in production they actually made a 2+2 model. It's back, only it's called a G35 now.
The new GT-R is the only new Nissan worthy of being called a skyline.

Rep Power: 323 whew, I'm glad to know that I didn't mix things up. Yeah, its the next G35 not the next skyline.
anyway, I don't like the back end of that Volvo. If it were cheaper then the sedan that its based off of, then maybe we could do some talking... It too should offer AWD and an optional I5 turbo. I mean, thats what is getting the performance really up there.

Okay, chief, then why are they badged "SKYLINE 350GT" in Japan? Yeah, I'm a noob here, but the only reason is because I used to drive a G35 coupe...horrible suspension problems, so i abandoned ship. I'm so sick of this argument.

I'm so sick of this argument. I understand that, I was simply pointing out the fact that these new "skylines" is Nissan being lazy. I mean platform sharing is great, but a rebadged 2+2 Z really shouldn't carry the skyline name. Personally, I think skylines in general are overrated, but I find it irritating that all these G35 fanboys want to think their cars are more than what they are because Nissan was too lazy to design an ACTUAL seperate platform for the skyline.
I'm just relieved to see the GT-R is its own design.

I'm just relieved to see the GT-R is its own design. Fair enough. A always thought the Skyline should have its own platform, and I agree that Nissan was/is being lazy with the G35 Coupe (Skyline 350GT), especially when I went through some of the same suspension problems as 350Z owners. I am also looking forward to the new GTR, even though it'll be priced pretty far out of range for most of us (70K+ range). And to hear that a potential new Toyota Supra will be badged as a Lexus and priced way up there sucks ***, too. Is the 350Z going to remain the only car of its class (RWD ~300HP) in the ~30K price range? That's a dismal picture, nothing against the Z, but damn. I love the AWD cars (EVO, STI), but I just don't prefer to drive a performance sedan, I'm just a coupe guy. The S2000 is a sweet ride as well, but a little to small for me and I don't do convertibles.
