i kept my car dropped, if you drive carefuilly you won't have a problem, but i decided i wanted to go RS instead of evo, so i broke off my molded skirts and have a full ABS RS kit coming in.

When you say you're scraping, do you mean going up ramps and driveways or just driving along the street? If you want to prevent scrapes going up or down inclines, take it roughly at a 45 degree angle (so that all 4 tires touch the incline at different times) and you should be okay.

Face it, the roads aren't made for lowered cars. I regularly scrape my splitter, midpipe, muffler, or xbrace on what seem like nice low obstacles. We're tuning our cars to look like a race car, but race cars drive on tracks with no speedbumps or driveway entrances. There will be damage, just a fact of tuned life. I got a splitter so at least I won't be scraping PAINT off every time my front end scrapes a driveway.
i used to scraped when i had my type b lip kit with arospeed 2 inch drop springs. the only thing i was scraping was my muffler only cause it sagged in the rear like hell. but as if now, since my car is redone i have no problems at all. just know your roads and calculate angles at certain dips and humps.

what size tire you have on a 15" rim? maybe try a 17" and a 215/45 tire to give you a tuck and raise the ground clearance.

I was actually gonna start a thread about which kits you guys would recommend since i'm looking into lowering the ride. i want about a 1 inch drop and no more than 1.3"
any suggestions for kits?

It’s all in the way you drive. Just like PunkingCivic said "Take the obstacles at angles (speed bumps, driveways, ETC)".
I did it backwards from what people say but I had reasons... I put the body kit on before I dropped the car. I know it looked stupid but I learn how to drive with a low body kit before I lowered it. So I could adjust to the height. Now I lowered my car an inch (Teins-H-Tech) and now I know how to drive lowered. I do plan on going lower in the near future. I think the reason the body-kit has lasted so long is because of me taking precaution. I had this body-kit put on in November 2002.
Also you will learn the long way around if you know that you will scrap no matter what... I do. As you can see below I do bottom out every once in a while... look at the bottom tip of my back bumper (the white spot).

Good Luck. Any questions just ask.
Edit: Yes it is daily driven and has 112,000 miles on it. And the body kit has majority of those miles on it too. I bought the car when it was brand new.

I scrape my **** all the time... the front of my car is so low that when i slide my foot under my lip it touches. I think I have half a Pop can clearance... I love it.
Just drive carefully

i have the eibach prokit its a .9" drop from what they say. i think its a bit more like 1.25" on a sedan. i am very very pleased with it. ihad the progress springs prior and they sagged a bit in the rear. ride quality wasnt bad at all but i was having major camber issues with 18's so i opted to raise it up a bit with the eibach's. i am in love now and will probably never buiy another spring. perfect drop for 18's with a 225/40/18. only like a 1" wheel gap maybe 1.5" at most. and i dont have issues with scraping at all. but then again i havent installed my cf type r lip yet either so ill let ya know how that goes after the install

your not tucking 5 inches. maybe 1 or 2 tops. unless u count ur photochop. i've had my car lower but i raised it up to a decent height, and i dont really scrape much at all. i use to not be able to go over speed bumps, but not i am able too. you also have to learn the roads and where they suck and where you'll bottom out, and then compensate for that. like i kno on one road i have to stay on the left lane cuz the right lane is messed up and has construction or like you cant go down a certain road and what not. just kno ur limits.
u must have some mad camber problems. cuz u cant fit a 205/50/16 that far in the wheel well unless u really rolled ur fenders or what not. i have the same tire width and was tucking for a bit and it hit the tire with the fender wall.
