Rep Power: 0 Oh man pls don't get this spoiler. There was one time at downtown Chicago and a 7thgen with this spoiler on, and the next time I saw it, there was a lady rest her hand on the spoiler and talked on the cell phone. That just ridiculous

Rep Power: 789 spoilers are so dumb! reasons why below
1. no function
2. looks stupid (unless you shave the other 3rd brake light)
3. doesnt flow well
4. extra weight
5. holes in trunk
now there are few exceptions where it blends with car, some coupes look good with em, but again it looks like it was slapped on there.

Rep Power: 0 [QUOTE=ZapThyCat]Just wondering if people really think they look horrible, or just ricey?
I'm seriouly considering a simple aluminum one on my vic, just for looks. I KNOW it has no real function on a FWD vehicle...
they look HORRIBLY RICEY. they don't really serve any purpose on our cars. actually, they don't really serve a purpose for 90% of street-driven cars. aerodynamics don't play any kind of role in your 50mph commute and not much for your 75-80mph highway driving. you should be concerned if you were planning on pushin your EM2 in a 48-hour thunderhill circuit challenge, but hey if ya like how they look, more power to ya. but it's about as pointless as seatbelts on an airplane.

Rep Power: 297 I think the only spoiler that flows with the car is probably the OEM one. I just bought the oem one on ebay, since i'm pretty much done with show mods and it was pretty cheap.

Rep Power: 0 Yeah... Please don't get one. Your car will be much more respected without one. Once you get one people will start mistaking your car for a shopping cart. Your car looks good as it is man.

Rep Power: 267 The outside of your ride is good and clean, at least in the few pics I looked at. Please don't bolt one of those onto your car. Really, if you need a place to sit on the outside of your car, there's the hood, or you could open the trunk and sit on the edge. Really no reason to bolt a bleacher or park bench to your trunk. I like the m3 style i have, just enough to notice, but not obtrusive. Or there's oem or the hybrid style that just sits on the trunk which are both still very clean.

Rep Power: 0 dude i seriously would not get one...it is just soo stupid and very ricey. you have a very sexy car or on other civics and you would not want to ruin their's beautiful looks. thoes spoiler would look good on a fully customized nissan z's or a supra. but never on a civic. as mentioned somewhere before, stick with the oem 04-05 or the hybrid is nice and clean and you will never hear someone say it a rice.

you can kiss your gas mileage goodbye if you put something that big on. When i have my bike rack on my car, i lose about 1-1.5mpg from the added drag. Dont destroy your cars aerodynamics. oem ftw
