Are spoilers really that bad?
I think some wings look good if they have a purpose for the car such as if the car is a rally car or something. How fast are you really going to drive that you need that much downforce?? If you get one, make it as least rice as possible.

A LIST OF GOOD SPOILER PICS
If you get that spoiler you better be doing this:
Street Version..even has a smaller spoiler than the one you'd get:

ok, well lets look at it like this. someone said that spoilers do nothing for our cars. others say that they do. whats the truth? if it really does something then get one. and another thing, do our stock spoilers do anything for our car? i doubt it.
Last time I had this much fun some furniture got broken!

i like some fiberglass/carbon fiber wings.. i think on some cars it adds a nice accent to the rear.. aluminum/metal spoilers on the other hand.. dont like 'em.. but i wont hate.. i may comment, but that's about it..

a skyline can wear that because its a freaking skyline. IMO the stock spoiler looks best on coupes and the Hybrid looks best on sedans. Don't get other types of spoilers (i.e. Kaminari) unless you plan to get the full kit. Custom spoilers stand out way too much without the rest of the body work and it just looks tacky, but this is all just opinion. If you absolutely insist on getting one of these wings, please do not get the aluminum kind and keep the wing in proportion to the car. The smaller kind on an ange would look best, get one in black if you can. A CF one would be fine if you plan on getting a CF hood.

I KNOW it's not functional guys, I wasn't asking about that, only about the looks.
And it looks good on the Skyline, IMO.
And the lines of a sedan are not completely different from the Skyline, IMO.

yeah, i shake my head in dissapointment when i see any car with an aluminum wing. i wanna cry when i see a 7th gen with one. ive NEVER understood them. and im not talking about functionality, we all know there is no purpose for them. im talking about the look...i don't understand how "adults" ...or anyone over the age of 12, let alone 16, would think these look good, honestly. they're....ughh...just don't get one!!!!! its a real car...not a toy or erector set or hot wheelz!
ok i just have to say one thing... i know many of the older guys prolly wont apply to this but ever since tuning became mainstream, i bet a majority of you guys were into the "parkbench" spoilers at some point, then the "jdm" bandwagon came along and you all jump on that because people started to flame on the retards that put the wings on anything. i may be wrong but i do know some of you did that because i used to do that.
back to zapthycat's question.. do it if you really feel that you like it. the wings on the silver vics especially a clean one like yours would look bad. but i wouldnt suggest oem cuz its overdone and although it looks clean, it looks like every other vic out there. the hybrid spoiler or the m3 lip would look nice.

We all did stupid stuff in our time..lol. We live..and learn.
I can agree on the bandwagon mentality, I got into the import scene when I was about 15, that's when all the 95' Civics had the metal wings on them, but I must say that even then I thought it looked tacky. This is coming from a female (yes I'm a chick) if some dude came to pick me up on a first date, and had some ugly metal wing on his car, I'd probably pretend I'm not home. Seriously. That's just not cool.

Here's how I feel. It's just another accessory just like anything else that can look great on your car if the rest of your car has taken that direction also. The reason they've gotten such a bad reputation is because people buy them for cheap and slap them on any piece of crap they have with no other modifications....it just looks dumb. But if I see a high gloss work of art with wild paint at a car show, huge wheels, lots of bling, this wing would just be part of the overall picture and I think it would look good.
