damn, i need a car cover
my **** sits outside all damn day. even at night. i need a car cover. it won't hurt my ride right? only help? idk, im going to advanced auto parts tomorrow. i want to keep my baby nice. besides its only 20 bucks
It'll help, but don't throw one on if it's filthy. Otherwise, all you do is transfer the filth to the car cover, and done enough time, starts to work like sand paper.
Before using a car cover for the first time, wash your car, and use a good wax. When using the cover, make sure the grommets don't scratch up the rocker panel.
Prior to each subsequent use, dust off the car (California duster or similar). When the dust sticks onto the surface, it's time for another car wash.
Yes, it sounds like more work, but the point of a car cover is to protect your car, not damage it.

i have the car cover from the dealer and the reason i bought it was so that no snow got on my car and it would be a lot easier to clean it off, just take off the cover and have the snow go with it, but the fabric freezes to the car and rips off little pieces of the underside of the cover and gets stuck frozen to the car so i really dont use it anymore, also cause its a pain in the *** to put on and take off all the time, its been sitting in a bag in my trunk for about a year now
I was shopping around for car covers a while back and when I found some, it seemed like the cheap ones would deal more damage than prevent. I really haven't found a good one yet, and I suppose what I mean by that is that I haven't found an expensive one yet, so I gave up looking long time ago.

Honestly it's not worth using a car cover for a car you're gonna use everyday. Buy a car cover if you're gonna store your car for months.

I had one of 'em $20 car covers over one of my vintage cars. It holds up for about 2 years before it starts disintegrating.
Including the time to wipe down the car with the duster, putting on the cover takes about 3 mintues. Removal takes less than a minute.
