Powerband is supposedly from 3K to 5K and its very quiet. By 3rd gear the wind noise is said to drown the engine out.

probably one of the new aluminum blocked diesels.

I know they are starting to put aluminum blocked diesels into airplanes. On top of making tons of power, they are very reliable
