Really? I figured they where lower power, most Honda's are lower in auto form, didn't know about the redline though.

I believe that is the case.... I also think the 5thgen was also the only DOHC VTEC that Honda offered with auto at that time, now they have the TSX w/ auto and DOHC VTEC.... if the TSX K series can still be ranked among the ultra high revving Honda motors.

Yeah, almost all the DOHC VTEC ludes around here are auto, I've only seen 2 manuals in person, and about 20 autos...
damn dude so in a strait line there isn't really a difference between base and type SH. kinda funny. I saw a type SH yesterday and i made a comment about how much i liked it right as the owner went to open the trunk. It was a 5 speed with 17 inch rims a jdm shift **** and an owner that was FLAMING!

The SH has a LSD that will help with corning and launching, but from a roll is a straight line, the S and SH are about the same, although the S is lighter and has a more effecient tranny (for delivering power anyway), but overall not much difference.
