b20?

ok so I've seen a couple videos on Streetfire.net that have guys in the honda sections with "B20s"

Now i know exactly what a b16, b18 are and I've seen a few b19's for sale on craigslist. But unless people are boring out the cylinders more on integras even more than that i wanna know is the b20 from a different car? or is it just a bored up integra motor?

Quickie Version: B20 engine? Whats it out of?

they don't make a b19 what I meant was that there are people who bore there integras out to 1.9 liters of displacement, thus they call them b19's

The early gen preludes has b20s? **** You learn something new everyday. I wonder if you could put a vtec head on it and have vtec?

the b20 is a great motor out of the older preludes and CRV's. the b20 is great for N/A, but im not going to say the same for boost. now the LS teg motor is a great boost motor.

Before someone asks, no B20's in the old Ludes are not compatible with ANY other B series engine.

And that list is missing a few engines. Like the D15, non-VTEC engine in the 92-95 Civic dx/lx; B18B in the non Vtec teg, but I guess I'm just nit picking

a bit off topic, but talking about Preludes, is the engine code for the Si and S models the same? One was carburator and the other was injection.

yeah, I think the twin carb one was A1 and the FI one was A2 or something like that.... don't take my word for it though.

I had had the twin carb one

One a worthless Honda trivia note, the Honda Prelude was the last car to be sold in the US with a carburator.

actually, to the best of my knowledge, the 3rd generation Prelude (the last generation with flip up headlights) had the S model and Si model. S was carbed and Si was FI. Type SH was on the 5thgen only wasnt it??

i just did some research and found that the last generation of preludes (2001 i think?) have no difference between their base model and type SH. both are listed with matching specs...whats the difference?

BTW

my source for this comparison was vehix.com

They are the same, the faster one doesn't have a badge, but just a sticker that DOHC VTEC.

I believe the SH had a clutch pack LSD that had something like 25-30 clutchs. It was a rather scary tranny.
